Who we are
ComfortLine is a trading name of SYD Trans Pty Ltd. This policy applies to our website, enquiries, tour and charter bookings and related customer service.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, organisation, travel dates, passenger count, pickup and destination details, itinerary, luggage and accessibility information, correspondence, booking and payment status, and technical information such as IP address and browser data used for security and website operation.
Please provide health or accessibility details only when relevant to safely planning the service. Do not send identity documents, bank details or full card numbers through website forms or ordinary email.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, from a group organiser acting for passengers, through website forms and booking checkout, and during phone or email conversations. We may also receive necessary booking information from travel agents, schools, employers, venues or payment providers.
Why we use it
- respond to questions and prepare charter quotes;
- create, confirm and operate bookings and contact the organiser;
- coordinate suppliers, pickups, accessibility needs and service changes;
- process and reconcile payments, refunds and receipts;
- keep the website secure, prevent misuse and meet legal, insurance and recordkeeping obligations;
- improve our services and, only with the required permission, measure marketing performance or send marketing communications.
Who we share it with
We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers supporting the booking, such as payment processor Stripe, database and hosting providers Supabase and Vercel, email delivery providers, approved attractions or accommodation suppliers, and professional advisers or authorities where required by law. A group organiser may receive booking information relating to their group.
Some providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their locations and safeguards depend on the services configured for ComfortLine.
Payments
Card checkout is hosted by Stripe. ComfortLine receives payment status and transaction references but does not receive your full card number. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to its processing.
Analytics, cookies and marketing
Essential storage supports security and website operation. Optional Google Analytics or Meta tools load only after analytics consent when configured. You may decline or change that preference. We do not send names, phone numbers or email addresses to analytics. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted, identify the sender and provide a way to unsubscribe.
Storage, security and retention
We use access controls and reputable service providers to protect records. No internet system is completely secure. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle disputes, maintain business and tax records and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where practicable.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw optional marketing consent or ask us to delete information that is no longer required. Some records may need to be retained by law or for legitimate booking and dispute purposes. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Other people’s information
If you provide details about another passenger, tell them why the information is being provided and obtain appropriate permission. Avoid sending more information than the trip requires.
Privacy concerns
Email info@comfortline.com.au or call +61 414 573 490. Explain the issue and how you would like it resolved. We will review the concern and respond within a reasonable period. You may also seek information from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where applicable.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when our services or providers change. The date above shows the current version.
